McLaren Vale is situated just 45 minutes south of Adelaide. Part of the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula, the area boasts
scenic vistas of vines, olive groves and almond orchards. There are also iconic beaches within a ten minute drive west
of the town, while a drive to the east will see you heading into the hill ranges. South will see you reaching the coast in
under an hour and in the right time of year the chance to see whales as they nurture calves and make the long slow
journey to colder waters. McLaren’s nearest neighbour is Willunga - in itself a gourmet destination with a regular
Saturday Farmer’s market. Several heritage trails share the two towns, with the Shiraz trail providing a safe cycling and
walking path which connects the two places. We hope that the Harvest Festival will give you the taste for the region
and get you coming back to explore the region.
